If you don\u2019t have origami paper you could always use Christmas wrapping paper instead.<\/p>\n<p>Then we applied glue along one edge and loosely rolled each one up to make a tube. My 8 year old managed this fine all by himself but younger children might need a bit of help.<\/p>\n<p>We started with a thread doubled and long enough to go through the whole Christmas tree ornament and have 5 cms or so either end for tying.<\/p>\n<p>We laced a few beads onto the thread first and stopped them falling of \u00a0by tying a knot.<\/p>\n<p>Then we laced on each paper tube starting with the biggest.<\/p>\n<p>In between each tube we threaded another bead.<\/p>\n<p>When you push the needle through the paper tube, the tube flattens a bit but don\u2019t worry because it just pops straight back out again with a little squeeze.<a href=\"https:\/\/kidscraftroom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/Homemade-Christmas-Decorations-Paper-and-Bead-Trees-e.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-8499 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/kidscraftroom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/Homemade-Christmas-Decorations-Paper-and-Bead-Trees-e.jpg\" alt=\"Have fun with paper &amp; beads to make adorable homemade Christmas ornaments.
