It\u2019s a really easy nursery rhyme to act out with gestures and it relates to things young children have real life experience of\u2026spiders, sun and rain.<\/p>\n<p>Although you can use gestures to act out Incy Wincy spider (Itsy Bitsy Spider) I still love to use props too. Wow, nursery rhymes have never been such fun!<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #28d0d7;\">Supplies To Make A Climbing Incy Wincy Spider!<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Paper Plate<\/li>\n<li>Paint<\/li>\n<li>Plastic Drinking Straw<\/li>\n<li>String or Wool<\/li>\n<li>2 Beads<\/li>\n<li>Googly Eyes<\/li>\n<li>Stapler<\/li>\n<li>Sticky Tape<\/li>\n<li>Scissors<\/li>\n<li>Glue<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #28d0d7;\">How To Make An Incy Wincy Spider That Climbs!<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>This paper plate nursery rhyme craft is delightfully easy!\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Start off by painting your plate whatever colour you want your spider to be and set it aside to dry. We did a black one here but pink, blue, red, green\u2026any colour or mixture of colours the children fancy would be great!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7182\" src=\"https:\/\/kidscraftroom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/Incy-Wincy-Spidermade-from-a-paper-plate-.jpg\" alt=\"An adorable paper-plate Incy Wincy Spider craft (Itsy Bitsy Spider) that actually climbs! We chose a number 8 shape.<\/p>\n<p>Then let the children stick on or paint on the eyes and mouth and glue or staple on the legs.<\/p>\n<p>Lastly turn the spider over to make the climbing mechanism. Cut two short sections of drinking straw about 3 cm each and secure them onto the back of the body with sticky tape.<\/p>\n<p>Cut a long length of wool or string and thread one end through each straw from the head of the spider to the bottom.<\/p>\n<p>Secure the ends of the wool with a large bead to stop the wool from pulling out of the straws and to give the children something easy to hold on to.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7179\" src=\"https:\/\/kidscraftroom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/Incy-Wincy-Spider-Can-Climb.jpg\" alt=\"An adorable paper-plate Incy Wincy Spider craft (Itsy Bitsy Spider) that actually climbs! Now your little one can take hold of the beads and pull each bead gently out to the side.<\/p>\n<p>They\u2019ll love watching Mr Incy Wincy Spider climb up and down over and over again. Such a great interactive nursery rhyme craft.<\/p>\n<p>Of course it would also work for other things like flying superheroes, fairies or insects!
