One of my favourite nursery rhymes is <strong>Mary Mary Quite Contrary<\/strong>. It\u2019s a great nursery rhyme to sing in the Spring and the Summer when you\u2019re outside with the children spotting signs of new growth, pretty flowers and maybe even trying your hand at a bit of gardening too!<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #28d0d7;\">We\u2019ve Got A Simple Pop-UP Flower Nursery Rhyme Craft To Bring Mary Mary Quite Contrary To Life.<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Our <strong>Pop-Up Flower craft<\/strong> lets children enjoy growing their flowers time and time again\u2026as if by <strong>MAGIC!<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-9947\" src=\"https:\/\/kidscraftroom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/Magic-Pop-Up-Flowers-496x1024.jpg\" alt=\"Magic Pop Up Flowers, an interactive &quot;Mary, Mary Quite Contrary&quot; nursery rhyme craft for kids.\" width=\"690\" height=\"1423\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kidscraftroom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/Magic-Pop-Up-Flowers-496x1024.jpg 496w, https:\/\/kidscraftroom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/Magic-Pop-Up-Flowers-600x1238.jpg 600w, https:\/\/kidscraftroom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/Magic-Pop-Up-Flowers-145x300.jpg 145w, https:\/\/kidscraftroom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/Magic-Pop-Up-Flowers.jpg 700w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 690px) 100vw, 690px\" data-pin-media=\"https:\/\/kidscraftroom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/Magic-Pop-Up-Flowers.jpg\"><\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #28d0d7;\">Supplies To Make A Mary Mary Quite Contrary Pop-Up Flower<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>For each nursery rhyme pop-up flower you will need:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2 plastic \/paper cups<\/li>\n<li>1 plastic drinking straw<\/li>\n<li>Tissue or crepe paper<\/li>\n<li>Sticky tape<\/li>\n<li>Scissors<\/li>\n<li>Brown Paint<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #28d0d7;\">How We Made Our Mary Mary Quite Contrary Pop-Up Flower<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>For each Nursery Rhyme Pop-Up Flower you will need to cut the bottom out of your first cup. This will form your plant pot. Paint it brown and set it aside to dry.<\/p>\n<p>Then cut the top 3\/4 off of the second cup and put a small hole into its base. We just poked a pair of scissors through to make the hole.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-3589\" src=\"https:\/\/kidscraftroom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/pop-up-flowers-4-1024x917.jpg\" alt=\"Magic Pop Up Flowers, an interactive Mary Mary Quite Contrary Nursery Rhyme Craft\" width=\"690\" height=\"616\" data-pin-media=\"https:\/\/kidscraftroom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/pop-up-flowers-4.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Take a few sheets of coloured crepe or tissue paper and cut out some circles to make your flower. We just used an up-turned glass to draw around.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-3597\" src=\"https:\/\/kidscraftroom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/pop-up-flowers-11-1024x666.jpg\" alt=\"Magic Pop Up Flowers, an interactive Mary Mary Quite Contrary Nursery Rhyme Craft\" width=\"690\" height=\"451\" data-pin-media=\"https:\/\/kidscraftroom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/pop-up-flowers-11.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Poke a small hole into the middle of the paper circles and pop in your straw. Use sticky tape to stick the paper flower head onto the straw stem.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-3598\" src=\"https:\/\/kidscraftroom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/pop-up-flowers-12.jpg\" alt=\"Magic Pop Up Flowers, an interactive Mary Mary Quite Contrary Nursery Rhyme Craft\" width=\"690\" height=\"486\" data-pin-media=\"https:\/\/kidscraftroom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/pop-up-flowers-12.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Now to make your plant pot! \u00a0Start with the painted cup the right way up. Tip the small section of plain cup up-side-down and put it into the painted cup. From the underside of the painted cup, use sticky tape to secure it into place. This little section will hold your flower stem and help stop the children pulling the flower right out of the pot.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-3591\" src=\"https:\/\/kidscraftroom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/pop-up-flowers-6-1024x786.jpg\" alt=\"Magic Pop Up Flowers, an interactive Mary Mary Quite Contrary Nursery Rhyme Craft\" width=\"690\" height=\"545\" data-pin-media=\"https:\/\/kidscraftroom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/pop-up-flowers-6.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Put the plant pot the right way up again and pop your straw flower stem through the little hole in the inside.<\/p>\n<p>Why not give your little one a small watering can so they can pretend to water their flower?
