My youngest loves to collect them and\u00a0make\u00a0<strong>colourful displays<\/strong> on our kitchen window sill.<\/p>\n<p>He can\u2019t resist filling his pockets with daisies and dandelions when we go out. ( They do sometimes get forgotten and end up in the washing machine, oops!)<\/p>\n<p>His\u00a0colourful collections inspired me to make this Spring Flower Sensory Bottle to share with the pre-schoolers I work with.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s filled with a mixture of real flowers, glitter and little butterfly and flower jewels. It really does look very pretty and quite magical!<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m sure it will prove to be <strong>a great starting point for lots of chatter<\/strong> with the little ones.<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #28d0d7; line-height: 1.5;\">How To Make A Spring Flower Sensory Bottle<\/span><\/h2>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #28d0d7;\">Supplies To Make A Gorgeous Spring Flower Sensory Bottle<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Plastic bottle with lid<\/li>\n<li>A handful of freshly picked dandelions and daisies<\/li>\n<li>Glitter<\/li>\n<li>Acrylic gems (I had some little flower and butterfly shaped ones which fit the theme well.)<\/li>\n<li>Green and Blue PVC insulating tape (electrical tape)<\/li>\n<li>Plain paper for the cloud decorations.<\/li>\n<li>Clear sticky tape.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #28d0d7;\">How To Make Your\u00a0Sensory Bottle Filled With Spring Delights<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Remove the stems from the flowers and pop them in the bottle with a good sprinkling of glitter and a spoonful of acrylic gems if you\u2019re using them. (Anything that you think will catch your little one\u2019s interest can be added to the bottle, maybe grass, leaves, feathers, pebbles, sand etc.)<\/p>\n<p>Fill\u00a0the bottle up right to the top with water\u00a0and fit the lid tightly.<\/p>\n<p>Secure the lid into place with insulating tape so little fingers can\u2019t undo it!<\/p>\n<p>To decorate the top\u00a0simple wrap the blue tape around the lid and first centimetres or two\u00a0of the bottle\u00a0to make the sky.<\/p>\n<p>Cut out 3 little cloud shapes from the plain paper and tape into place with the clear sticky tape.<\/p>\n<p>For the grassy bottom cut long thin triangles out of the green tape and put them in place all around the bottom of the bottle. Secure the base of them into place by wrapping round a band of green tape. If the tops of the grass blades look like they might peel off, use a few wrap arounds of clear sticky tape to secure them into place.<\/p>\n<p>Give the bottle a good shake and share it with your little ones.<\/p>\n<p>Very young children will enjoy the completed bottle and older children can help make it with you\u00a0too.<\/p>\n<p>Natural treasures\u00a0from the outside world around us like, flowers, sand, mud, pebbles etc, offer\u00a0an endless supply\u00a0of sensory rich exploration opportunities for all ages to enjoy.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #28d0d7;\">We hope you have lots of
