Fun and Quirky DIY Zipper Tags\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\nSugru is just perfect for making this zipper tag craft. It sticks to both metal and plastic zip pulls and is nice and soft for little hands to hold.<\/p>\n

to make our Zipper Tags that we ended up making loads of different types!<\/p>\n

To make the ice cream lunch box zipper tag we made a yellow triangle and pressed a fork into it to make the wafer cone texture and pattern. For the ice cream we rolled a white sausage shape and zig-zagged it on top of the cone and finished it off with a small round red cherry!<\/p>\n

Joining the ice cream tag to the zip was super easy. We looped a sausage of Sugru through the zipper and pushed it onto the back of the ice cream to secure the 3 pieces together.<\/p>\n

It only took 24 hours for the Sugru to set to a rubber like consistency and now the zip is so much easier to open and close with something larger to hold on to.<\/p>\n
Tip: When leaving the Sugru to set it\u2019s best to rest it on a piece of cling film or hanging away from the clothing (so it cannot come into direct contact with the clothing while setting). This is to protect the clothing from the Sugru sticking to it or staining it while it cures.<\/p>\n

We wanted to use the Sugru to make some unique coat zipper tags too. My son started his spider web design by shaping a black disc and then laying some white spider webs on top. The Sugru is so pliable that it was really easy to roll super thin cobweb strands without it breaking.<\/p>\n

Because Sugru sticks to virtually anything we decided to have some fun with an old Play Mobil figure and turned it into a Zipper tag for our CD case. We rolled three long yellow strands and twisted them together to make a miniature rope.<\/p>\n
