Have you got a little spider fan? Kids will love this this FREE PRINTABLE HAIRY SPIDER CRAFT.<\/strong> These furry spiders are really easy to make and so much fun!\u00a0 They have lovely 3D hairy bodies and look so cute! We adore our homemade spider pets so much!<\/p>\n

This free printable spider craft is great fun at any time of year and also works really well as a, not too spooky, Halloween craft too. Your kids will have a blast crafting their own creepy crawly spiders to play with or to decorate the home or classroom.\u00a0<\/p>\n

We\u2019ve decorated our printable spiders with chopped yarn scraps to make them super hairy, but you can let your imagination run wild and decorate them with anything you like or simply colour them in!<\/p>\n

We\u2019ve used really bright colours to decorate our spiders but you can choose all your favourite colours to decorate yours. If you\u2019re using the free spider template for Halloween spiders, you might like to choose more traditional Halloween colours of black, orange and purple!<\/p>\n

This spider craft is such an easy project that it\u2019s perfect for kids of all ages.\u00a0 Use it just for fun or to go alongside a spider study unit or your favourite spider nursery rhyme or story book.<\/p>\n

Spider Craft Supplies:<\/strong><\/p>\n

  • Printer Cardstock<\/li>\n
  • Yarn<\/li>\n
  • Colouring Pens\/Pencils<\/li>\n
  • Scissors<\/li>\n
  • Glue<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    How To Make Hairy Spiders<\/h3>\n

    \"Printable<\/p>\n

    1 \u2013 Print the free spider craft template onto printer cardstock. (Get yours at the bottom of this post.)<\/p>\n

    2 \u2013 Colour in any parts of the template that you want to. We just did the legs, mouth and eyes as we planned to decorate the body with chopped yarn.<\/p>\n

    3 \u2013 Cut out all the template pieces.<\/p>\n

    \"Printable<\/p>\n

    4 \u2013 To chop up lots of little bits of yarn to make your sider hairy, start by loosely wrapping yarn around your first two fingers.<\/p>\n

    5 \u2013 Then slide the lop off of your fingers and whilst holding it in on hand snip through all the loops to give you lots of strands all the same length. Next hold the strands together and snip them into shorter sections.<\/p>\n

    6 \u2013 Apply glue to the large section of the spider\u2019s body and sprinkle on the chopped yarn pieces.<\/p>\n

    7 \u2013 Fold the body pieces along the dotted lines and put glue on the tab. Glue the two ends together to make an arch with the fur on the top.<\/p>\n

    8 \u2013 Fold along the dotted line of the legs to make a tab for gluing. You can either leave the legs straight or fold them in half like we have.<\/p>\n

    9 \u2013 Glue the spider\u2019s 8 legs onto the bottom of the body. Four on each side.<\/p>\n

    10 \u2013 Finally glue on the eyes, mouth and fangs.<\/p>\n
