Today we\u2019ve turned the humble paper plate into an awesome heart craft that builds kids\u2019 fine motor skills as they weave a yarn net to catch their heart.<\/p>\n
Kids can paint and decorate their YOU\u2019VE CAUGHT MY HEART \u2013 Paper Plate Heart Craft in their favourite colours and enjoy seeing their friends\u2019 and loved ones\u2019 hearts melt when they receive this special gift!<\/p>\n

I start this off for my children by stabbing through the plate with scissors where I want to start cutting.<\/p>\n Next paint<\/a> your paper plate rim and middle in your favourite colour\/s and let them dry.<\/p>\n Once your painted paper plates are dry use the mini heart stamp<\/a> to make heart shaped holes around the paper plate rim. The children will use these heart shaped holes for weaving their net.<\/p>\n For young children you might want to stick to just four or five holes and for older children they might enjoy more weaving with eight or ten holes or more!<\/p>\n Cut a long length of coloured yarn<\/a> and tie it through one heart shaped hole. The children can now enjoy weaving backwards and forwards to make a net to catch their heart!<\/p>\n On the back of your painted<\/a> paper plate middle draw a large heart shape and then cut it out.<\/p>\n Print out our YOU\u2019VE CAUGHT MY HEART printable sheet (see bottom of post) and cut out a heart message. There are three heart colours to choose from, yellow, pink and blue.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Glue your printed \u201cYOU\u2019VE CAUGHT MY HEART\u201d message onto your paper plate heart.<\/p>\n Now you can catch the heart in the middle of the woven net!
