Simple circus skills for kids are a great way to develop gross motor skills, balance and co-ordination<\/strong> in children of all ages and grown ups can have loads of fun with them too!<\/p>\n Lots of the equipment can be made at home cheaply and easily like our rainbow dancing ribbon<\/a> and musical shaker<\/a> and today I\u2019m going to show you how to make juggling balls using a seriously quick no-sew method<\/strong>!\u00a0It\u2019s an easy activity to set up at home and works really well as a group activity too, perfect if you\u2019re thinking of hosting a circus themed play date or a kids circus party.<\/p>\n These juggling balls are super easy to make and nice and soft and squishy for little hands. They can be made in single, dual or mixed colours so you can match them to your personality and favourites.<\/p>\n Step One\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n When learning to juggle it\u2019s really helpful if all your balls are all the same shape and size. We\u2019re going to fill our juggling balls with rice<\/a>, so to make them evenly sized mark a plastic cup with the amount of rice you want to use in each ball. (We used half a small plastic cup but the exact amount you\u2019ll need will depend on the size of your balloons and you may need a bit of trial and error getting the correct amount for your first ball.)<\/p>\n Step Two<\/em><\/p>\n For each juggling ball measure your rice and pour it into a sandwich bag. Twist the sandwich bag closed making sure you\u2019ve expelled all the air. Pull the remaining bag over the ball of rice<\/a> and twist it shut again. Repeat until the whole length of the bag is used and you have a tight neat bag of rice.<\/p>\n Step Three<\/em><\/p>\n Cut the neck off of your balloon<\/a> and put your bag of rice right inside the balloon.<\/p>\n Step Four<\/em><\/p>\n Cut a slightly bigger neck off a second balloon<\/a> and put the balloon covered bag of rice inside, hole side first. You can use two balloons the same colour or contrasting colours like we have in the picture above. Basically that\u2019s it! Now you know how to make juggling balls using the no-sew method in just a couple of minutes! If you want to add some more decorations to your balls read the final step below.<\/p>\n Step Five<\/em><\/p>\n In the picture above you\u2019ll see that we\u2019ve made a blue juggling ball with two balloons<\/a> the same colour and then we\u2019ve added three coloured bands. Adding coloured bands is really easy! Remember those balloon necks you cut off earlier? All you need to do is cut the thick rolled end of a balloon neck off and stretch the remaining piece over your juggling ball.<\/p>\n In the picture above you can see we\u2019ve made each juggling ball out of two balloons of the same colour. Then we\u2019ve added a contrasting band of colour around the middle.<\/p>\n Now you know how to make juggling balls using this simple no-sew method there\u2019ll be no stopping you!
