How much fun does \u201cArt You Can Eat\u201d<\/strong> sound? Your kids are going to be so excited to see what we\u2019ve been up to this week with our newest edible paint recipe!<\/p>\n

Regular readers will know that recently we\u2019ve enjoyed experimenting with wax resist sugar painting<\/a>\u00a0and created some beautiful paintings. My kids loved sneaking a quick lick of sugar off their fingers so much that I decided I needed to come up with a completely edible paint experience for them! \u00a0<\/p>\n

Hence this Edible Paint Recipe<\/strong> was born and this wonderfully colourful and totally edible and tasty Rainbow Bread<\/strong> was the result!<\/p>\n

Is This Edible Paint Recipe Healthy?<\/span><\/h2>\n

On a day to day basis I\u2019m really careful about what my kids eat and a healthy balanced diet is extremely important to me. I do however have odd occasions when I let them indulge in unhealthy treats like candy and chocolate.<\/p>\n

For me, occasionally letting my kids have foods like that helps them learn the importance of a healthy diet and how \u201cunhealthy\u201d things should be approached.<\/p>\n

So I have to be honest and say that this Edible Paint Recipe isn\u2019t a healthy food choice! It\u2019s sugar based, has food colouring in it and we\u2019ve used white bread\u2026everything I steer away from on a daily basis!<\/p>\n

However, it is seriously FUN, FUN, FUN and inspired so much creativity!<\/strong><\/em> So as an occasional treat and because of how much my kids got out of making and eating their Rainbow Bread designs I\u2019m happy to let them enjoy the experience once in a while without guilt.<\/p>\n
