Autumn sees us beginning to spend more time inside and dare I say it, those organised among us start casting their minds towards Halloween and even Christmas preparations! It\u2019s here before you know it isn\u2019t it!<\/p>\n

Although I miss playing outside as much in the colder months, I also love that those cosy, early to dark evenings just lend themselves perfectly to family crafting sessions with the kiddies don\u2019t you?<\/p>\n

The lovely team at Baker Ross have sent us some samples from their latest Autumn and Halloween craft kits so I wanted to take this opportunity to share our top picks with you today. Whether you\u2019re looking for craft packs to use at home, as a gift or for a Halloween party there\u2019s something for everyone.<\/p>\n

      Woodland Animal Cross Stitch Kit\"Baker-Ross-Animal-Cross-Stitch-Kit\"\"Cross-Stitch-Fox-Kit-from-Baker-Ross\"<\/span><\/h3>\n

      This Woodland Animal Cross Stitch Kit (US) (UK) has 5 different cute cardboard animals, a selection of bright embroidery threads and a set of needles, making it perfect for individual kids or if you\u2019re wanting an activity for a small group. I was really impressed with the needle design of this kit because they have a little plastic safety ball tip so you don\u2019t have to worry about young children pricking themselves by mistake. I also liked the cardboard animals have perforated holes for children to pop out when they want to sew in them. I know some kiddies will love that bit alone before they even get to the sewing. A nice kit to introduce freeform stitching or cross stitch.<\/p><\/li>\n

      Hedgehog Sewing Kits\"BAKER-ROSS-HEDGEHOG-SEWING-CRAFT-KIT\" \"Hedgehog-sewing-craft-kit-from-Baker-Ross\"<\/span><\/h3>\n

      This Hedgehog Sewing Kit\u00a0(UK ONLY)\u00a0comes with everything you need to make 2 super cute stuffed felt hedgehog toys. The instructions are picture based so they are nice and easy for children to follow. The sewing holes are pre-made so again it makes it easy for children new to sewing to succeed easily. Children sew around the outside of the hedgehog and stuff it to make it 3D. The additional coloured hedgehog quills are sticky backed so don\u2019t require sewing on, but the printed stitching gives them a sewed on look. This is just about the right amount of sewing for an early sewer, allowing them to develop some skills without getting bored by too much repetition or put off by too much challenge. It\u2019s a well thought out kit and the colours are gorgeous.<\/p><\/li>\n

      Monkey Stained Glass Effect Decorations<\/span>\"Monkey-Stained-Glass-Effect-Decorations-from-Baker-Ross\"<\/h3>\n

      This Stained Glass Effect Craft Kit (US) (UK) is good for older children with good scissor skills and those that like a bit of a challenge. Our kit had 6 monkeys from 3 different designs. Lots of coloured plastic sheets and ribbons for hanging. It does need additional glue that you need to provide yourself.<\/p>\n

      Each black monkey has a detailed design that the children push out to reveal holes. Children then glue around the holes and cut small pieces of coloured plastic to stick on. They do look very pretty hanging on a window.<\/p><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Haunted House 3D Scratch Art Decorations\"3D-Scratch-Art-From-Baker-Ross\"<\/span><\/h3>\n

        This Haunted House Scratch Art Kit (US) (UK)really doesn\u2019t need much introduction, it\u2019s much like any scratch art kit, but there were a few things I did particularly like. This craft kit has 8 different house shaped cards in it from 4 different designs making it ideal to do with a group of children, perhaps as part of a Halloween party. The scratch tool has two different ends, a thick and thin so children can vary their design easily. Lastly it has little semi-circular stands so the completed haunted houses can be stood up to give a 3D effect and they\u2019ll look great as Halloween decorations.<\/p><\/li>\n

        Top Hat Kit and Skull Foam Stickers<\/span>\"Baker-Ross-Top-Hat-Craft-Kit\"<\/h3>\n

        I\u2019m talking abut these two craft kits together because they team up so well. The top hat kit (US) (UK) comes with pre-cut card to make three black top hats, all you need to add is the glue. Again the instructions are given in clear pictures making it easy for children to follow. You could use and decorate these hats at any time of the year but they look lots of fun at Halloween teamed up with the skull foam stickers (US) (UK)which come in a pack of 105 bright and colourful pieces.<\/p><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
