It\u2019s never too early to start introducing creative activities to children. Here are 12 fun process art painting activities especially for babies and toddlers.\u00a0<\/strong> Each easy art idea will allow your young artists to interact with paint in a multitude of different ways.<\/p>\n

What is Process Art?<\/span><\/h2>\n

Process art is a term used to describe open ending art activities. Here the focus is on the process\u00a0 rather than on a finished product.<\/p>\n

For example, we are not asking or expecting children to create a particular finished product, or even a finished product at all!<\/p>\n

Instead we are providing them with the equipment and tools for them to explore and experiment in their own unique way.<\/p>\n

With process art the child takes the lead and the enjoyment, experimentation and learning each child gains from the experience will be unique to them.<\/p>\n

As a teacher I always loved providing my young students with open ended process art experiences. It\u2019s amazing how the same art supplies can be used in different ways by different children.\u00a0<\/p>\n

12 Fun Painting Activities For Babies And Toddlers<\/span><\/h2>\n

1 \u2013 MESS FREE ZIP LOCK PAINTING<\/a>\u00a0is a great art activity to stimulate baby\u2019s sense of touch and sight and they can enjoy watching all the wonderful colours merge, mix and change.<\/p>\n

2 \u2013 CLING FILM ART<\/a> is another mess free painting activity for babies that allows children to really experience the movement of paint and listen carefully and you might hear some lovely squelchy noises too!<\/p>\n

3 \u2013 GROSS MOTOR ART<\/a> is great for babies and toddlers that are up on their feet. This activity encourages them to go big and experience paint with large body movements.<\/p>\n

Children can enjoy exploring both sides of the sponge and smearing and rubbing the sponge to mix colours and create different textures.
