How to Make a Tractor Puppet Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1 – Download and print the MOVING TRACTOR CRAFT TEMPLATE. (I recommend printing on to white cardstock rather than paper as it’s a bit more robust.)
Step 2 – Cut out the tractor template pieces. (If you are using the black and white template, colour it first.)

Step 3 – Fold the front field template piece along the dotted lines to make a step. (The bottom line folds up and the top line folds back.)

Step 4 – Apply glue to the two “glue” rectangles on the background hill piece. Line up the folded front field piece and stick it on. There will be a small gap in the middle for the popsicle handle to go later.

Step 5 – Glue the two fluffy clouds onto the background sky.

Step 6 – Glue the exhaust pipe onto the top of the tractor and the wheels onto the bottom of the tractor. (Small wheel at the front and large wheel at the back.)

Step 7 – Glue the eyes onto the tractor’s window or main body and draw on a happy smile.

Step 8 – Sticky tape a jumbo popsicle stick onto the back of the tractor to make a handle. Slide the puppet handle through the gap at the bottom.

Step 9 – Wiggle the handle from side to side to make your tractor drive across the fields! Broom, broom!
