Woodland Animal Cross Stitch Kit
This Woodland Animal Cross Stitch Kit (US) (UK) has 5 different cute cardboard animals, a selection of bright embroidery threads and a set of needles, making it perfect for individual kids or if you’re wanting an activity for a small group. I was really impressed with the needle design of this kit because they have a little plastic safety ball tip so you don’t have to worry about young children pricking themselves by mistake. I also liked the cardboard animals have perforated holes for children to pop out when they want to sew in them. I know some kiddies will love that bit alone before they even get to the sewing. A nice kit to introduce freeform stitching or cross stitch.

Hedgehog Sewing Kits
This Hedgehog Sewing Kit (UK ONLY) comes with everything you need to make 2 super cute stuffed felt hedgehog toys. The instructions are picture based so they are nice and easy for children to follow. The sewing holes are pre-made so again it makes it easy for children new to sewing to succeed easily. Children sew around the outside of the hedgehog and stuff it to make it 3D. The additional coloured hedgehog quills are sticky backed so don’t require sewing on, but the printed stitching gives them a sewed on look. This is just about the right amount of sewing for an early sewer, allowing them to develop some skills without getting bored by too much repetition or put off by too much challenge. It’s a well thought out kit and the colours are gorgeous.

Monkey Stained Glass Effect Decorations
This Stained Glass Effect Craft Kit (US) (UK) is good for older children with good scissor skills and those that like a bit of a challenge. Our kit had 6 monkeys from 3 different designs. Lots of coloured plastic sheets and ribbons for hanging. It does need additional glue that you need to provide yourself.
Each black monkey has a detailed design that the children push out to reveal holes. Children then glue around the holes and cut small pieces of coloured plastic to stick on. They do look very pretty hanging on a window.

Haunted House 3D Scratch Art Decorations
This Haunted House Scratch Art Kit (US) (UK)really doesn’t need much introduction, it’s much like any scratch art kit, but there were a few things I did particularly like. This craft kit has 8 different house shaped cards in it from 4 different designs making it ideal to do with a group of children, perhaps as part of a Halloween party. The scratch tool has two different ends, a thick and thin so children can vary their design easily. Lastly it has little semi-circular stands so the completed haunted houses can be stood up to give a 3D effect and they’ll look great as Halloween decorations.

Top Hat Kit and Skull Foam Stickers
I’m talking abut these two craft kits together because they team up so well. The top hat kit (US) (UK) comes with pre-cut card to make three black top hats, all you need to add is the glue. Again the instructions are given in clear pictures making it easy for children to follow. You could use and decorate these hats at any time of the year but they look lots of fun at Halloween teamed up with the skull foam stickers (US) (UK)which come in a pack of 105 bright and colourful pieces.
